Comcast, Charter, and Altice Band Together to Benefit Advertisers

NEW YORK--Three of the top four cable and Internet providers, Altice USA, Charter Communications, and Comcast Cable announced they have reached an agreement to form a new Interconnect in the New York designated market area (DMA) that will provide a one-stop advertising solution to reach over 6 million households across the area. The New York DMA is the largest advertising market in the US. For marketers, agencies and advertisers, the new agreement will provide an enhanced way to strategically reach audiences across TV and digital platforms. The new project is expected to take off in the first half of 2018.

The project will provide advertising clients a way to access households served by Altice USA, Charter Communications and Comcast as well as other cable companies serving the New York DMA. In addition, the new group will manage all area-wide, non-local advertising sales on both News 12 Networks on Altice USA and Charter's Spectrum News NY1, two of the top local news stations in the New York/New Jersey/Connecticut area.

The three-way cable advertising association will provide advertisers in the New York area with an array of advertising products and solutions, including the ability to place their commercial ads on up to 85 hit cable channels with some of the most popular television shows on TV., as well as offering highly-optimized linear and digital planning tools and campaign measurement.

Altice USA, is the U.S. business of Altice N.V. and is the fourth largest broadband communications and video services providers in the United States. Altice delivers broadband, pay television, telephone services, and Wi-Fi hotspot access, to almost 5 million residential and business customers across 21 states with its Optimum and Suddenlink brands.

Charter Communications Inc. is a leading broadband communications company and the second largest cable operator in the country. Charter provides a full range of Charter Spectrum bundles, including Spectrum TV™, Spectrum Internet™, and Spectrum Voice™. Spectrum Business® similarly provides scalable, tailored, and cost-effective broadband communications solutions to businesses, such as b-to-b Internet access, data networking, business phone systems, video and music entertainment business services, and wireless backhaul. Charter recently bought the Bright House Networks and Time Warner Cable.

Comcast Corporation is a global media and technology company with two primary businesses, Comcast Cable and NBCUniversal. The nation's largest cable company, Comcast Cable provides bundles of video, high-speed internet, and phone to residential customers under the XFINITY brand. Comcast also provides these services to businesses as well. Comcast provides wireless and security and automation services to residential customers under the XFINITY brand. Comcast owns NBCUniversal, which owns news, entertainment and sports cable networks, NBC and Telemundo broadcast networks, television production studios, television stations, Universal Pictures and Universal Parks and Resorts.
